Cumilla Medical College
Cumilla Medical College is a government medical college conducting MBBS and postgraduate courses in 6 disciplines under Chittagong Medical University and Bangladesh Medical University (BMU). Academic activities of Cumilla Medical College started in 1991–1992 academic year.[1] Cumilla Medical College is situated at Kuchaitoli, Cumilla, Bangladesh, 5 kilometers south-east from Cumilla town and 100 kilometers southeast from the capital Dhaka. It was established on 28 November 1979 by then President Ziaur Rahman. The first MBBS batch was admitted in 1981 (Session 1981–82). After a government decision in 1982, the academic program of CuMC (Cumilla Medical College) was suspended due to hospital expansion. The medical college reopened on 11 January 1992.

Quiz Competition – CMCH Departments
The CMC Departmental Quiz Competition is an academic initiative designed to enhance medical knowledge, clinical reasoning, and teamwork among students and professionals of Cumilla Medical College.
This competition will include quiz rounds based on core subjects, clinical cases, image-based questions, recent medical guidelines, and practical decision-making, covering the respective departments of CMCH.
The event aims to:
Encourage active learning and healthy academic competition
Improve clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills
Promote inter-departmental collaboration
Enhance confidence in evidence-based medical practice
Participants will compete in a structured, time-bound format under the supervision of experienced faculty members. Certificates and awards will be provided to recognize excellence and participation.

Prof. Dr. Rashida Khanom is a Gynecologist in Dhaka. She holds the credentials MBBS, DGO (OBGYN), MCPS (OBGYN), and FCPS (OBGYN). At Dhaka Medical College & Hospital, she is a professor in the department of gynecology and obstetrics. She sees patients at the Ibn Sina Diagnostic Center in Dhanmondi on a daily basis.
