There are indoor, outdoor & emergency facilities here.

As it is a government hospital, it costs almost free. But the problem is getting appointment. Lots of patient gather here every day. They have enough number of doctors, nurses and other stuffs. There are two hostel for medical students behind the hospital building and two for dental students. The full hospital campus is well decorated

Quiz Competition –SSMCH Departments
The SSMCH Departmental Quiz Competition is an academic initiative designed to enhance medical knowledge, clinical reasoning, and teamwork among students and professionals of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital.
This competition will include quiz rounds based on core subjects, clinical cases, image-based questions, recent medical guidelines, and practical decision-making, covering the respective departments of SSMCH.
The event aims to:

Improve clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills
Promote inter-departmental collaboration
Enhance confidence in evidence-based medical practice
Participants will compete in a structured, time-bound format under the supervision of experienced faculty members. Certificates and awards will be provided to recognize excellence and participation.
